About Rosemary Gordon

Psychosexual therapy is a talk-based approach that specifically addresses sexual and relationship concerns. It supports individuals and couples in understanding and resolving a range of sexual issues, such as erectile dysfunction, low libido, the effects of sexual trauma, gender identity, and sexual orientation concerns. The ultimate aim is to enhance sexual function, satisfaction, and overall well-being. I trained in pluralism, an approach that emphasises collaboration with clients to tailor therapy to their unique needs and preferences. Rather than adhering to a one-size-fits-all model, we work together to identify what you want from therapy and explore which therapeutic methods will best help you achieve those goals. This approach respects your individuality, values, and the fact that no single therapeutic style works for everyone. What sets my practice apart is my focus on intersectionality and cultural humility. Culture plays a central role in shaping how we understand ourselves, our relationships, and our sexual health. While much of psychosexual therapy is rooted in Western traditions, I adopt a culturally sensitive, intersectional approach. This means I provide resources, information, and techniques without imposing any one worldview on you. I remain mindful of your unique experiences, especially when it comes to the interplay of culture, race, gender, and sexuality.
