Kapila Shanka Benaragama Biography

I am a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and University College London Hospitals (UCLH) NHS Trust, and an Honorary Associate Professor at University College London (UCL) Medical School. My clinical practice covers the full range of arterial and venous interventions, both open and endovascular. I hold the prestigious National Lower Limb Salvage Fellowship (VaLSA) and have additional training in leadership and management from the University of Cambridge Judge Business School. I specialise in the treatment of complex vascular conditions, with subspecialty interests in: Deep and superficial venous disease Lower limb revascularization Carotid artery disease Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) Wound and ulcer management, particularly in diabetic foot disease I also lead North London’s largest hyperhidrosis service and am actively involved in national vascular education and training programmes.
