About Dr James Hallimond Brindley

Dr Hal Brindley is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist practising at Barts Health NHS Trust and LIPS Battersea. He has 16 years of experience managing a wide range of digestive and liver conditions, and is also the clinical lead for gastroenterology at Newham University Hospital and works at the Royal London Hospital. Dr Brindley earned his medical degree (MBBS) and a BSc from University College London, and completed specialist training in gastroenterology and hepatology across several centres of excellence in London. He also holds a PhD, which focused on the immunology of fatty liver disease, reflecting his specialist interest in liver medicine and obesity-related liver disease. He continues to contribute to research as a principal investigator and is involved in medical education as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Barts Liver Centre, Queen Mary University of London.
