Dr Geoffrey Brent Biography

Dr Geoff Brent is a UK-trained Consultant Dermatologist on the GMC specialist register. After obtaining his medical degree and a BSc in Neuroscience from University College London, he completed specialist Dermatology training in the competitive South West London deanery which included St George’s, Kingston and Epsom & St Helier University Hospital NHS Trusts. Dr Brent has received several prizes and awards, including the annual Best Registrar prize at the St John’s Dermatological Society and best case presentation at the Royal Society of Medicine. He was selected as a UK representative for the prestigious Euroderm Excellence Program, ranking in the top three European trainees. He has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals and has presented nationally and internationally. He is actively involved in medical education and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare and Biomedical Education. He is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists and St John’s Dermatological Society. Dr Brent has a special interest in skin cancer, mole checks, and skin screening, and consults on all aspects of general dermatology including eczema, psoriasis, acne, and rosacea. He also performs cryotherapy and minor skin surgery. He is known for his friendly, empathetic approach, and is committed to delivering high-quality patient-focused care. Away from work he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, and is a keen squash player.
