About Dr Cathryn Sprenger
Dr Cathryn Sprenger completed her undergraduate training in South Africa at the University of Cape Town where she obtained her degree with Honours. She then moved to the UK where she trained in a number of London Hospitals including Kings College Hospital London, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and St Georges University Hospital where she completed her Dermatology Specialist training. She currently works as a Consultant Dermatologist St Georges University Hospital, a busy teaching Hospital and tertiary referral centre for skin cancer in South West London. Dr Sprenger has published in a number of peer-reviewed journals including the Clinical and Experimental Dermatology and Skin Health and Disease. She has presented at multiple Regional and International Dermatology meetings as well as being awarded the prestigious Royal Society of Medicine’s Hugh Wallace Senior Registrar prize. Dr Sprenger is a member of the British Association of Dermatology and the St John’s Dermatology Society. Dr Sprenger’s consults on all general dermatology conditions including skin cancer, mole mapping, acne, rosacea, pigmentation, eczema, cutaneous allergy and psoriasis. Her main interest is in skin cancer and mole mapping. She is currently the teledermatology lead at St Georges Hospital where she is establishing the teledermatology pathway for urgent skin cancer referrals.
