I have worked in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology for more than 18 years of which I have been a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in UK for more than 4 years. I have extensive surgical and laparoscopic training and experience in managing complex benign gynaecology and fibroids. My areas of expertise are managing Fibroids, pelvic pain, Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. I manage patients with abnormal vaginal bleeding and Ovarian Cysts. I also have a keen interest in helping women manage menopausal and perimenopausal symptoms. In Obstetrics my special interest lies in managing patients with abnormally invasive placenta especially operative management during delivery. My keen interest to reduce morbidity with surgery in patients with very high BMI in both Obstetrics & Gynaecology has led to few innovations which has been well received internationally. I believe in teamwork and have used my management skills to bring about positive changes in patient satisfaction. I have a keen interest in managing complex and massive fibroid disease including those in women needing repeat myomectomies. My competence in vaginal surgeries has helped me to improve outcomes, especially in women with high BMI needing hysterectomy. I have gained expertise in offering minimally invasive vaginal hysterectomies, which is specially beneficial in women with high BMI. I pursued my interest in management which led me to gain a Masters in Business Administration in International Hospitals and Healthcare Management. My experience in working with social entrepreneurs in the field of women’s health has paved my way to be the strategic lead for ‘Women’s Health Advocacy Network’ - a charity that relieves the needs, preserve and protect the physical and mental health of women and girls in the UK and beyond who have survived rape or sexual abuse by anyone. I regularly present in international and national conferences including surgical innovations while operating in patients with higher BMI. Majority of my publications include work in managing fibroids.
